Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-05-09

1. Acceptance

By using atlascompendium.com or any directory published under the Atlas Compendium name, you agree to these terms.

2. Editorial nature of the directories

Atlas Compendium directories are published for reference and educational purposes. The directories describe natural locations (hot springs, waterfalls, aurora-viewing destinations, u-pick farms) — many of which involve outdoor travel, weather exposure, water immersion, hiking, agricultural environments, or other inherent risks. Reading a directory entry is not a substitute for independent planning, current condition checks, and your own judgement about safety and suitability.

3. No warranty

We work to a high standard of accuracy and continuous review (see our Editorial Standards). However, conditions change. Hours close. Trails wash out. Owners change. The directories are provided "as is" without warranty as to fitness, completeness, or current accuracy at the moment you read them. Always verify time-sensitive details (hours, access, weather, road conditions) directly with the operator or governing body before travel.

4. Citation, linking, and reuse

Direct linking to atlases or specific listings does not require permission. Brief excerpts may be quoted with attribution. For longer use, please contact editorial@atlascompendium.com. The directories are not licensed for re-publication, scraping, or use as input data for derivative directory products.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Atlas Compendium is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the directories, including any travel, recreational, or commercial decisions made on the basis of directory information. Always perform your own due diligence for time-sensitive or safety-relevant decisions.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect changes. Continued use of the directories after a change indicates acceptance.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Disputes that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion will be brought before the competent courts of Oslo, Norway.
